USB is fighting for the withdrawal of the MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) announcement during the National Mobilisation Week of University Research.

The USB, which has always been active in support of the Palestinian people, and especially since 7 October, is taking to the streets to support the mobilisation that is sweeping through Italian universities.
In addition to the call for a general ceasefire to put an end to the genocide of the Palestinian people, there is also a demand for a halt to scientific cooperation 

between Italian and Israeli universities and research centres aimed at developing projects that could lead to products that could also be used in the military field. 

Specifically, these include those that can be traced back to the MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) announcement.
Faced with the persistent violation of the most basic human rights by the Israeli authorities, in defiance of the norms of international law, the USB Pubblico Impiego has decided to call a day of national strike on 9 April 2024.
The strike of all university staff (teaching and administrative) and of the CNR (National Research Council) will be accompanied by street initiatives in many cities.
The mobilisation is necessary to demand the withdrawal of the notice and, more generally, to take a firm stand against the suspension of industrial, scientific and technological cooperation between Italian and Israeli universities and research centres.
