Nell’ottica della giornata internazionale contro il Genocidio a Gaza organizzata dalla organizzazione di settore della Federazione Sindacale Mondiale (WFTU), ovvero TUI Transport, Ports, Fishery and Communication, USB ha effettuato dei blitz con decine di attivisti che hanno esposto striscioni in luoghi simbolo quali la Stazione Tiburtina, il Porto di Livorno e quello di Civitavecchia.
I lavoratori dei trasporti, in Italia e nel Mondo, non vogliono essere complici del genocidio in corso in Palestina: USB lo ha dimostrato con le mobilitazioni degli scorsi mesi ed anni negli scali portuali ed aeroportuali italiani, dove ci si è rifiutati di spostare materiale destinato a teatri di guerra.
Le lotte nel settore dei trasporti continueranno, finché andrà avanti il massacro a Gaza ed il Governo italiano continuerà con le politiche di riarmo, che oltre ad impoverire la popolazione civile con tagli ai servizi ed ai salari rappresenta un elemento di complicità centrale dell’Italia con l’apparato bellico industriale israeliano.
Le mani dei lavoratori e delle lavoratrici non si macchieranno del sangue degli innocenti: continuiamo a seguire ed ad appoggiare la missione della Global Sumud Flotilla con la quale partirà un nostro delegato del settore Porti.

8 September, International Transport Workers' Day: Stop the genocide in Palestine, USB blitz at Tiburtina Station and the ports of Livorno and Civitavecchia
As part of the International Day Against Genocide in Gaza organised by the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) sector organisation, TUI Transport, Ports, Fishery and Communication, USB carried out blitzes with dozens of activists displaying banners in symbolic locations such as Tiburtina Station and the ports of Livorno and Civitavecchia.
Transport workers in Italy and around the world do not want to be complicit in the ongoing genocide in Palestine: USB has demonstrated this with mobilisations in recent months and years at Italian ports and airports, where workers have refused to move material destined for war zones.
The struggles in the transport sector will continue as long as the massacre in Gaza continues and the Italian government continues with its rearmament policies, which, in addition to impoverishing the civilian population with cuts to services and wages, represent a central element of Italy's complicity with the Israeli war industry.
The hands of workers will not be stained with the blood of innocents: we continue to follow and support the mission of the Global Sumud Flotilla, which will be joined by one of our delegates from the Ports sector.
