Mercoledì 8 marzo migliaia di persone hanno invaso le strade delle città di tutta la Grecia durante lo sciopero nazionale organizzato per chiedere di non coprire il crimine, il mortale incidente ferroviario avvenuto una settimana prima a Tempe, Larissa.
Migliaia di lavoratori, giovani, studenti, alunni, uomini e donne hanno dato voce ai nostri 57 morti, ai nostri fratelli, ai nostri amici, ai nostri figli.
Ad Atene, dove la manifestazione è durata per ore, il governo e la polizia hanno cercato di fermare il fiume di persone chiudendo tutte le stazioni della metropolitana centrale, cercando di rendere impossibile l'accesso al centro della città.
Anche i lavoratori della metropolitana erano in sciopero, ma hanno aperto i percorsi durante le manifestazioni in un atto di sostegno alle migliaia di persone che volevano partecipare alle manifestazioni.
Come ultimo sforzo, la polizia, con l'assistenza di noti gruppi di provocatori, ha tentato di interrompere l'enorme manifestazione dei lavoratori, ma i loro tentativi sono falliti.
Nonostante le difficoltà e gli ostacoli Atene, Salonicco, Patrasso, Larissa, Ioannina, Creta sono state inondate da enormi manifestazioni, con dimensioni che molti di loro hanno visto per la prima volta. Intere città dove tutto era "morto" e le strade erano "vive".
La voce della gente ha mandato un messaggio, a gran voce: "Non è colpa del cattivo tempo o di un errore umano. È colpa dei vostri profitti che sono intrisi di sangue".
L'unica a NON scioperare ieri è stata la Confederazione Generale Greca del Lavoro, GSEE (membro della ITUC-CSI in Grecia), che ha dichiarato di essere ... troppo impegnata per partecipare allo sciopero. In questo modo, ancora una volta, si è schierata dalla parte del governo e dei datori di lavoro contro il popolo.

Il PAME ha dichiarato: la sofferenza del popolo
Il mare di persone che ha invaso le strade di Atene, Salonicco, Patrasso, Larissa e di ogni altra città del Paese ha gridato "È UN CRIMINE PREVISTO".
I lavoratori e i giovani, gli studenti e le studentesse con il loro polso, hanno trasformato il dolore e la rabbia in una lotta, in una voce, sono diventati la voce dei morti e hanno mandato al macero la propaganda del governo.
Le immagini delle magnifiche manifestazioni di oggi non possono essere né nascoste né oscurate dal piano provocatorio del governo organizzato per distruggere la manifestazione di Atene.
Lo sciopero si è svolto contro il tentativo organizzato di coprire il crimine omicida di Tempe, contro le tattiche di intimidazione del padronato nei luoghi di lavoro, contro le misure di repressione e intimidazione del popolo e nonostante l'assenza della pietosa leadership del GSEE, che i sindacati hanno superato da tempo.
LE NOSTRE VITE NON SONO UN COSTO - LE NOSTRE VITE HANNO UN VALORE
Chiediamo la vita che meritiamo, una vita con diritti moderni, un futuro migliore per noi e per i nostri figli.
Questo crimine non sarà insabbiato.
Il governo attuale, il governo precedente, i partiti che hanno governato e stanno attuando politiche che lasciano dietro di sé centinaia di morti, sono già stati condannati nella mente della gente e dei giovani. Sono colpevoli! Le loro finte lacrime ipocrite non smuovono nessuno.
Andiamo avanti, con maggiore determinazione
Non è il tempo del silenzio, è il tempo della voce e della richiesta!
Continuiamo con una nuova grande manifestazione dei sindacati domenica 12 marzo davanti al Parlamento.

Enormous Strike Demonstrations all over Greece for the Train Crash
On Wednesday, March 8 thousands of people flooded the streets of the cities all over Greece during the National Strike that was organized demanding NO COVER UP to the crime, the deadly train crash that took place a week before at Tempe, Larissa.
Thousands of workers, young people, students, pupils, men and women gave a voice to our 57 dead, to our brothers, to our friends, to our children.
In Athens, where the demonstration lasted for hours, the Government and the police tried to stop the river of people by shutting down all central metro stations, trying to make access to the city center impossible.
Metro workers were also on strike, but they opened the routes during the demonstrations in an act of support to the thousands of people who wanted to participate in the demonstrations.
As a last effort, police with the assistance of known groups of provocateurs attempted to break the huge demonstration of the workers, but their attempts failed.
In spite the difficulties and the obstacles Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larissa, Larissa, Ioannina, Crete were flooded with enormous demonstrations, with size that many of them witnessed for first time. Whole cities where everything was "dead" and the streets were "alive".
The voice of the people sent a message, loudly "It is not the fault of bad timing nor a human error. It is the fault of your profits that are soaked in blood".
The only one, NOT on Strike yesterday, was the Greek General Confederation of Labor, GSEE (member of ITUC-CSI in Greece), which stated that they were …too busy to participate in the strike. This way, once again taking the side of the Government and the employers against the people.

PAME Stated: PEOPLE’s WRATH
The sea of people who flooded the streets of Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larissa and every other city in the country shouted "IT WAS A PREDICTED CRIME".
The working people and the youth, the pupils and students with their pulse, turned the grief and anger into a struggle, into a voice, became the voice of the dead and sent the government propaganda to the trash.
The images of today's magnificent demonstrations can neither be hidden nor overshadowed by the organized government provocative plan to break up the Athens demonstration.
The strike took place against the organised attempt to cover up the murderous crime in Tempe, against the employer's intimidation tactics in the workplaces, against the measures of repression and intimidation of the people and despite the absence of the pitiful leadership of the GSEE, which the trade unions have long since overcome.
OUR LIVES ARE NOT A COST - OUR LIVES HAVE VALUE
We demand the life we deserve, a life with modern rights, a better future for ourselves and our children.
This crime will not be covered up.
The current government, the previous government, the parties that ruled and are implementing policies that leave behind hundreds of dead, have already been condemned in the minds of the people and the youth. They are guilty! Their hypocritical fake tears move no one.
We move forward, with more determination
This is not the time of silence, it is the time of voice and demand!
